Abri Façade

Luchon, a veritable mountain town, is the leading spa resort in the Pyrenees, situated at an altitude of 630 m and surrounded by 13 mountain peaks. It was essential for this holiday village to offer its customers an indoor swimming pool that was heated in winter and open-air in summer; a project with unusual dimensions (27m long x 13m wide x 4.50m high) and real climatic and seismic constraints that became a reality thanks to the contribution of Vénus! The 8-tonne structure complies with Eurocodes (CE) standards and can withstand a snow load of 100 kg/m2. The roof is made of 10mm alveolar polycarbonate and the façades are made of 5mm toughened safety glass. It has two sliding doors with no threshold to accommodate all visitors, and is easy to open manually despite its exceptional size.
